Kimberly DeWitt Mowbray
Ms. Mowbray is a senior litigation attorney with The Fry Law Firm. Ms. Mowbray began her legal career representing indigent clients in various civil legal matters, including housing and family law, while working for Georgia Legal Services Program, where she also focused on assisting survivors of domestic violence. She then spent a year working, in primary part, in the role of a Special Assistant Attorney General, assisting the Department of Family and Children Services in prosecuting child abuse and neglect cases. From there, Ms. Mowbray spent the next 15 years honing her trial and negotiation skills while defending individuals, trucking companies and their drivers, property owners, construction companies, and insurance companies throughout the state and federal courts of Georgia. Ms. Mowbray now uses her vast experience and insight gained as an insurance defense litigator to help injured victims of negligence recover the compensation they deserve.
Ms. Mowbray earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Pre-Law, with high honor, from Michigan State University. She earned her law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law, where she clerked for the Public Defender’s Office and Family Violence Clinic, participated in the Public Interest Practicum, and was president of the Women Law Students Association.
Ms. Mowbray’s litigation career also includes significant appellate work. In addition to drafting numerous appellate briefs, she has conducted successful oral arguments before both the Georgia Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Georgia.
